Effective. Professional. Experienced.

Flows from Strentzel Creek on National Park Service (NPS) land periodically flooded local neighborhoods in the outskirts of Martinez in Contra Costa County. Working with the County and NPS staffs as well as the neighborhood, we designed a new drainageway on NPS land that would safely convey flows as well as store sediments without impacting NPS lands, which include the gravesites of John Muir and family.  We then completed a variety of special status species assessments, wrote the required NEPA and CEQA documents and completed permits through the Corps, RWQCB and CDFW.
