Sycamore Creek is a residential development in Pleasanton. An ephemeral creek, riparian woodland and native grasses were restored through a portion of the development. Zentner Planning and Ecology was hired by the Helsing Group, the Homeowner’s Association managers, to maintain the open space area that contained the restoration and preserved features. Important issues included existing sycamore trees and their large root systems, invasive weeds, and unaesthetic plant growth. We worked with the client and the neighbors, conducted regular maintenance, and led progress meetings. Working together, we brought these issues under control and the result was a project appreciated by the residents.
