The Greenbriar site had a variety of potential issues when we surveyed it for the future buyer. The project had been held up for some time due to local opposition and both Federal and State agencies had expressed serious reservations regarding the projects impacts on listed species, primarily the giant garter snake. However, in reviewing the project documentation and discussing the project with agency staff, it became clear to us that most of the difficult groundwork had been done and what remained was primarily fitting the project through the various regulatory checkpoints, rather than serious obstacles. We completed a short summary analysis, including a list of tasks to be completed for project approval, which were then adopted by our client.
